Oh, my gosh! Thanksgiving is just around the corner....
And you know what that means???
It means I get to create my family famous Stuffing! Stuffing! Stuffing! Stuffing!
Am I the only one who almost wets themselves with the excitement of creating and enjoying homemade stuffing? (I sure hope not, lol.)
If you can't tell already I absolutely adore stuffing and it is my favorite food item served during Thanksgiving. But, my stuffing may be homemade but I do make my stuffing preparation a little easier with the help of Mrs. Cubbison's.
I know I will be using the amazing Mrs. Cubbison's Stuffing Mix I received to help with my review at my house in a little over a week to create my stuffing. I wanted to share my recipe with all of you, but believe it or not?...It is just in my head. **Watch for an update with photos of my stuffing**
So here is the low down on my recipe. I want to apologize that there are no measurements, but I don't use any. I just make it.
First I saute onions and celery in a little bit of butter until nice and soft. I then add poultry seasoning and sage into the mixture. Next I pour the Mrs. Cubbison's Stuffing Mix into a large bowl and add in Chicken stock or turkey stock until the mix is softened. Next incorporate the cooked veggie mixture. Add more stock as needed. I place the finished mixture into a large pan and bake in a 350 degree oven for approximately 45 minutes....then the stuffing is done and ready to enjoy!
Did you know Mrs. Cubbison's has a great service for all those preparing for Thanksgiving? They offer helpful tips. These tips cover everything from food to decor (I love the Turkey Ribbon decoration idea). You can also find Mrs. Cubbison's on Facebook too.
So as you can see, Mrs. Cubbison's obviously loves Thanksgiving. They have compiled data from a great Thanksgiving Across America Survey. It was fun taking a look at all the findings, like Christmas is the top favorite holiday with Thanksgiving in a strong second.
